A Living Tradition Heritage Walks
A Living Tradition conducts a heritage walk around Newcastle City Centre, looking at the sites of various famous events and statues and buildings which commemorate the city's struggles for human rights. The walk lasts around two hours and is available to schools and community groups. A risk assessment has been conducted for the walk.
Two heritage walks with school parties have been successfully completed:
On 23rd April 2012 a group of 6th formers from Charles Thorp School in Ryton were taken round the walk. See review of walk on Charles Thorp School page.
On 19th July 2012 a group of Year 7 pupils from Excelsior Academy in Newcastle were taken round the walk.
There were also two succesful heritage walks in October 2012 and February 2013.
